The Grammy's is my favorite award show of the season! Don't get me wrong we all love our actors and actresses but I'm such a music fanatic that this one trumphs all!!
Beyonce's name might sound like a broken record that night because she managed to collect a huge 10 nominations!! Get it girl... T.Swift has eight.. lame. (Personal preference: she's just a little too mousey for my taste.) ,and her new rival Kanye racked up six along with the Black Eyed Peas.

: Excuse me INTERRUPTION!
So I finally was able to find some extra time (thanks state of emergency) to discuss this awful incident! While I've been busy, I also managed to squeeze in some mag time and came across J.Lo cover shoot in Elle for Febuary 2010.
When I was suddenly confused by why KIMMY K was in her photo spread! Elle didn't have the close-up picture on the website which truely resembled Ms. Kardashian that was published in the magazine, probably for that reason. So you'll have to catch one at a local stand. Here's just one picture that you really have to double check and ask is that really J.Lo or a Kim Kardashian wannabe...hmmm.. how embarassing J.Lo, way to reinvent yourself...!

: Chungs Madewell
MTV show host Alexa Chung has finally decided to exude her style to the public!!! For anyone who has seen her show, you already know that's awesome! Madewell a brand name companied to J.Crew decided that they wanted her for inspiration.
We can’t imagine that Madewell was the first brand to approach her, asking her to collaborate, consult, or just generally come over and pass on some of that gamine-redux style that she makes look so effortless. Yet Madewell were the perfect suitors because, Chung says, they were so laidback and undesperate. “I’d always been a bit cautious of collaborations—that they’d just be a money thing,” she says. “When I moved to New York, Madewell asked to meet me. I went in, and I liked the company. Everything about our meeting was very organic and casual; not full-on. They were open to suggestions.”The first pieces from the collection will be available this September, and will be sold under the label Alexa Chung for Madewell.

Band of the Month: Animal Collective
Theirnewest album called Merryweather Post Pavillion came out last year and they resemble new age " The Doors."
"Merriweather is the soundtrack for the ultimate hippie/ambient tribal dance party, a giddy, freewheeling, psychedelic beast of an album, full of big beats, trippy drones and glistening synths dancing around the band’s rich, reverb-drenched, fugue-like vocal layers." - Jim Allen (Rolling Stone Magazine)
A band you really don't want to pass up. Check out the whole album, the tracklist has upbeat and low key.
The Video is a little trippy, but the music is greeaaatttt.
P.S. For all the Oklahomies:
Dj Rusko is supposed to perform in OKC at the Electro Lounge 8:00 pm/ Free/ January 28th! BE THERE!

Another Big No No: Kevin Bacon reportedly wore the same recycled Hugo Boss tuxedo as last year, I mean I know we're in a recession guy, but I think you can manage to spulge for a few more new dreads.
